Hello, Angela: We offer gluten free buns for sandwiches and burgers!
Place is awesome great drinks and great service
Visited many times. Only positive emotions. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful service. Bartender Elena acted like an old friend of us. Being busy and running as a crazy dog she paid us enough attention. What about kitchen - they did their best. I was surprised how many burgers they have in their menu. I ordered jalapeño peppers with a cheese and almost burned my head. That was freaking hot. A burger I ordered was cooked well done instead of medium well but it was not a big deal. My respect and appreciation to chief it was delicious anyways.I definitely recommend to visit this place!
Great fries and burgers. Real close to the Loyola campus. Great family environment. Great selection of beers from around the country including domestics. Waffle fries are crispy which is the way fries are meant to be.
We love Bulldog's. Casual and cozy spot with great wings and a Sunday Mimosa deal that can't be beat. Fantastic service, thanks Stella (we luv the new tat!)
Fish fry was good and Lucy our server was excellent.
New management came in and changed the place for the worse. Menu has totally changed and the prices are now more premium despite the service and atmosphere not changing to reflect that all. The food is still decent but not worth the asking price. Not really worth a trip anymore.
Came to sample the beer, ended up eating and loving the beer's. So happy to have found this wonderful place. ( VERY COVID 19 CLEAN. ALL STAFF IN MASKS AND GLOVED. All menus cleaned as soon as they left our hands.)
Great place. The daily specials (both food and drink) are always a big draw. On game days it can be pretty busy but for the most part it's easy to walk in and get a table. Especially nice during the summer to sit outside.
The food the service and everything about this place is great. Come hungry and leave happy.
I love this place and I go pretty frequently. All burgers are served with pretzel buns and any burger can be swapped with a veggie burger, which is great. The food is always good whenever I go. They have drink and food deals every day, so I would recommend checking those out to determine which day of the week you want to go. I would also recommend signing up for their rewards program - you get frequent free entrees and desserts (usually with the purchase of drinks and other food). My only gripe is that they upped the price of the daily deals back in July, making it one of their more expensive locations and not as good of a deal as it used to be (Thursdays used to be $2 beer, not it's $4 beer, which is still good, just upsetting when you know how good it once was).
This place is okay. It has decent specials and alright food. I just wish the setup was a little less sterile and the bartenders' culture was a bit more personable. For the amount of times I've sat at the bar, I don't know any of their names and a conversation has never been had. Unless you like a bar with complete anonymity, it's an unlikely hub.
Great selection of drinks, high quality bar food, and outdoor patio seating -- what's there not to like? I would absolutely recommend this place to others. Just note: this is a popular hangout spot for Loyola students, so just be aware of the younger clientele that goes here.
I had a great time with my friends 💕 yesterday. Nice drinks and awesome food 😋.
They practice social distancing! Great place, clean, friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating - perfect place for a summer evening! Local casual hang with multiple (so many!) beers on tap, with a big bar, plenty of seating! The staff is so friendly, and Elena (manager) Izzy, and Calen are wonderful!!! Check out their daily specials...
I literally took one bite of the club sandwich that cost $15 and couldn’t take another bite. It was a pile of mush with slimy meats inside over buttered bread and way too much mayo. Bacon wasn’t crispy at all. And Unless you like mushy fries, do not order delivery. Perhaps the food in the restaurant is ok, I won’t know, but we were very disappointed with the food delivered. I really wanted to like it here too.
Nice bar for hangouts, and great daily specials. But if you get the salad, ask to have the dressing on the side.
The specials on the website are incorrect. I can't tell if they are listening to me or the headset. I feel rushed to close tab and leave. Not welcoming at all during the day. Dark and seedy
Ale Bulldog House is the place to be at when you are hungry or just looking to step out and enjoy a nice cold one! I love it how they have multiple locations across chicagoland as i travel often. Very convenient and I definitely recommend everyone to give them a try! Food is to die for 😍
1st time there, tried the Memphis burger, it was delicious, I'm going back for sure
For the first time in my life I liked a burger!Try the burger #21, you won't regret!Food = deliciousService = good, but with some misunderstandings Satisfaction = depends on your company
Good atmosphere and food. Sports bar with great beer selection. College bar.
Bulldog is what it is. The service is pretty poor... primarily because they can't keep staff. The food is actually kinda decent...at least as of this writing...they change the menu to cheaper stuff fairly regularly. They have beer...that is nice. Know what you are getting into...this is a spot where you go to have a beer, some fried stuff, and watch sports ball...you want something better...you go somewhere else.
I used to come in here about 3 times a week with a group of 6 people plus. I saw they got rid of the good specials and raised all the prices. We don’t plan on going back anymore. Also every other bulldogs had the old menu except for the two in Chicago. Dear owner that comment is a lie go to your corporate website all the other bulldog venues are the same as they used to be.
Great place to unwind afterwork and enjoy a 23oz of my favorite Zombie dust. 👍🍻 Also awesome staff. Especially the new GM. She is something 😊
I love dining there, but I have never had a more frustrating experience calling to make a to go order than with this place. And I felt so bad for the employee I was on the phone with. Because it was so loud in the restaurant, she couldn't hear me which made me have to yell several times. And even then, she couldn't understand me because it was so loud. Please fix this so that this experience can be a lot smoother.
This was my first time here I loved it, hot wings and sweet potato fries were so good.
Omg so delicious
Went this evening for all you can eat wings $13 special. The wings were inedible, entirely too salty. I brought this up to our server in which she offered to replace the plate. Replacement arrived even more salty. It was unpalatable. Was charged full amount on my bill ... at least buy my beer that I needed to wash down the salt. I tipped the server the standard 20% but I won’t be returning. Disappointed since I live in the neighborhood and want to support local business. Beer was good, but was really looking forward to decent wings after a long day at work.I have eaten here before and just wish the food was consistent. Service isn’t always the best, especially when busy, but I can understand being under pressure and having inconsistent service. The food isn’t really that hard folks: burgers, wraps, wings, etc. I’d expect it to be consistent and mediocre. It’s just consistently disappointing.Have a drink and move on.
Walked in Sunday early evening and opted for a seat at the bar. Found only one bartender working both sides. Bar was soaked and took over 15 minutes to get service. Couple who sat next to me was ignored for 30 minutes. Didn't find out the bartender forgot to put my friends meal in till I sat with my food for about 10 minutes watching mine get cold. No real apology. Then took an other 15 to get the check after asking at that point. The entire time I sat there never saw the bar wiped down or the glass next to me cleared. Clearly the staff was trying, but the ball got dropped well up the ladder
Really disappointed about the change in specials/menu. Our group of friends used to come nearly every Saturday for burgers and drinks and will need to find a new spot now.
Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Food was very mediocre. I've eaten at this chain twice, and my entree is always on the bland side. The appetizers and desserts are the best things on the menu.
This place has such great food and potential in general. However, service is zero. A bunch of dumb college girls playing servers, messing up orders, and they have no idea how to do recovery.
Awesome food and beverages, the dessert on the other hand aren't good
Me and my friends stop there for drinks they serve the drinks in small glasses and the drinks half full, for the price I pay I should have at list little more than half.
Food tastes good.Sit inside or outside. Great prices, good drinks!
Used to come here often, stopped by today and realized the prices went up and the menu got worse. The service was always slow but now they are even slower then before. They used to have amazing donuts! I am for sure not coming back.
Good service, decent bar food
We had a margarita and a draft beer. Both fine. There are many tap beers to choose from.We also ordered the chips and cheese dip. Not too good, tasted like the cheese dip you can buy and melt in your microwave. The spicy pepperoni pizza was indeed just that. We sat inside, which was nice. It's darker, but many tvs everywhere. There is also an outside patio to sit at, which was quite busy. Plenty of bartenders and waitresses and all seemed very happy and working hard. Nice neighborhood pub...I can only imagine how packed it is during Loyola games or Bears or Cubs games. We will return.
Thanks to Ashley for such a great service Food it was delicious
Reconfigured from an old grocery store, Bulldog Ale House is a premier food and brew establishment. There is a front patio that will seat at least 50; gorgeous, high-backed booth style seating in doors, flanking an enormous, all the way around bar with 40 beers on tap (two sets or each beer) and a huge storehouse of spirits. The full kitchen menu boasts a large selection of mains and starters all priced surprisingly low for the obvious quality and large portions. The staff is legion, promising attentive service. 19 big screen TVs give you all the sports entertainment you need without creating a tired, sports bar feel. There is Touch Tunes music available - and Bulldog is one of the few places that have figured out how to fill their space with music without it invading conversational level discourse.
Seems like some of the people leaving bad reviews think that they are restaurant critics. Awesome Place, good service, good food
I loved coming here for the specials but now they changed the menu and specials and the prices have gone up. And their new "chicken pot pie" is literally chicken salad in a pie crust. Don't plan to be back anytime soon. (Edit for owner: I have seen the new specials and I am not impressed. I liked the old specials much better)
Visited twice, dinner and lunch the next day for some day drinking and Thursday chicken tender special. Good specials. Pippa was very attentive. Great beer selection. Dropped the kid at LUC and we'll be back in the Spring.
